Consultant anaesthetist

MBBS(Hons), BSc(Hons), BSc.Med.Sci, MRCS, FRCA. Dr Quemby has considerable experience in anaesthesia for trauma and elective orthopaedics as well as emergency medicine. This expertise involves preparing patients for major surgery to reduce their risk and likelihood of complications. He has worked with many surgeons over a number of years to reduce patient risk and optimise them to be as fit as possible before surgery. Dr Quemby particularly enjoys upper limb anaesthesia as he is an ultrasound regional anaesthesia (USRA) enthusiast and completed the first fellowship in regional anaesthesia at Torbay hospital in 2014. He has published papers in this field and has run courses for the Royal college of anaesthetist’s and regularly teaches the specialty. His main areas of clinical practice are Awake upper limb orthopaedic elective and trauma surgery, Lower limb hip and knee surgery, plastic surgery and foot and ankle surgery
