Dr Coupe has been a pain consultant in Bath since 2004. Qualifying in medicine in 1995, he undertook specialist anaesthetic and pain training in London and Bristol. In addition to expertise in the drug management of persistent pain (he has co-authored a book on drugs in persistent pain) and the psychological impact of chronic pain, he is highly skilled in interventional pain medicine and regional anaesthesia. He is frequently called on to provide pain interventions for elite athletes.
