Carolyn Humphrey

Grad Dip Phys MCSP MAACP HCPC.re

I am an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist, specialising in treatment of musculoskeletal, sports and spinal problems and am also trained in Clinical Pilates, Acupuncture and Shockwave Therapy. I qualified in 1993 from The Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy in London, then spent 5 years in the NHS. It is this period which gave me a large base of experience to then be able to move on in Physiotherapy and specialise. I then travelled to Australia, working for two years in a clinic with close ties to a health club, I treated many sportspeople including Paralympians in preparation for the 2000 Olympic Games. The treatment of the upper limb – especially shoulder – has become a focus for me, having attended training with top research physios from the UK and Australia. I have worked at Glencairn House Clinic in Sherborne, Dorset, since 2013; working with patients of all ages, requirements and abilities to help them reach their optimum potential and recovery after injury or surgery. I look forward to meeting (and treating) you
